EXPERIENCE

  • AFROZAAR, CAPE TOWN | JUNE 2013-PRESENT
  • I currently work as lead digital and print designer at a tech consulting company called Afrozaar. Afrozaar focuses on helping traditional publishers transition into the digital world through the use of their signature software product: Baobab Suite. We create customisable apps for publishing companies, and work in content feed distribution. I am responsible for the app, website and marketing design.
  • GETAWAY MAGAZINE, RAMSAY MEDIA | 2010-2012

I started off dealing predominantly with the advertising/classified section of the magazine (one of the big sources of revenue for the mag), designing new adverts for clients and managing the changes/ammendments for others. As part of the art studio, my portfolio extended to designing main features for the magazine as well as other marketing material for the brand.

One of my biggest tasks at String was coming up with the conceptual design of a 150 page report and taking this design through from concept to production.
  • LATITUDE IDEA FACTORY | 2008
